Room with a view

This week has been so gloomy, and too chilly for proper summer temperatures. The grayness of the mornings makes me want to stay in bed. But I’m quite LUCKY to have a beautiful eucalyptus tree right outside my window. I absolutely adore it. In the late summer its bright reddish orange blooms emerge and create an amazing burst of color. Definitely helpful on these mornings when I open the blinds and there is no sun. The birdies really dig it, which in turn makes Q + Q very happy. At risk of bordering crunchy hippie-ness, i’m trying to focus on beautiful properties of life. There are plenty. Trying not to let melancholy overtake me. The challenge is set: blooms, birds and kitties VS. skulls, daggers, broken hearts….. game on.
